Veovo has announced that the UK’s Cardiff Airport (CWL) has deployed Veovo’s Intelligent Airport Platform to boost operational efficiency for a better overall airport experience.

The next-generation airport operations and revenue management technology connects people and systems across the airport for more holistic, end-to-end decision-making, delivering significantly improved airport operational processes and cost efficiencies.

Like at other regional airports, the staff at Cardiff juggle many responsibilities, making it vital that they have access to trusted data and insights to make fast, accurate operational decisions. The new web-based Veovo Flight Management application and Airport Operations Database (AODB) will provide role-based information, alerts, and recommendations, making it easier for staff to prioritise activities and proactively respond to peak-demand periods and pre-empt issues.

Spencer Birns, CEO at Cardiff Airport, said, “It is great to be in a position to modernise our technology and upgrade to a new system, which will enhance our customer experience”.

Real-time integration with airline and air traffic systems means all staff can access up-to-the-moment information when and where it is needed, helping them respond faster to the needs of passengers and airlines. The new platform’s RMS module will also manage allocating resources, such as gates and stands, to flights, ensuring that they are used efficiently.

In parallel, Veovo’s Revenue Management application will increase the efficiency of Cardiff’s aeronautical billing by automating the preparation and processing of invoices, improving revenue assurance and cash flow.

“Airports of all sizes are switching on to the power of joined-up thinking based on live data to improve real-time decision-making and collaboration,” said James Williamson, Veovo CEO. “We are delighted to partner with Cardiff Airport to help them optimise their assets and resources and ultimately deliver a better experience for both airlines and passengers.”

Veovo’s Intelligent Airport Platform is a new generation total airport management system relied on by airports worldwide, including Birmingham, Auckland, Perth and Swedavia.  Applications are available as stand-alone modules, or integrated components include Flight Management and AODB, Resource Management, Guest Engagement (FIDS), Revenue Management, Passenger Flow and Queue Management, Capacity Optimisation and Forecasting . Together, these deliver the insights, AI-powered recommendations and automation needed to ensure an all-around high-performance airport.
