Veovo has introduced a new 3D camera-based solution, which significantly boosts the company´s passenger flow management offerings.
The new 3D camera visually counts and tracks passengers’ end-to-end movement. Using advanced deep-learning algorithms, queue formations, and individualised, fully anonymised movement patterns are presented.
It provides wait times in both dynamically forming queues and per unique zone, as well as, per-airline, per-counter, per-passenger-class wait times, for instance, at check-in where counters can be dynamically assigned throughout the day. Additional insights available include detailed use of assets, such as check-in counters, security lanes, passport control booths etc.
Veovo´s queue and flow management solution already support and utilises data from multiple sensor technologies, including WiFi/BLE/Bluetooth-enabled sensors and various other sources. By adding 3D cameras to the overall offering, it will provide even greater reach and flexibility, and adaptable to a multitude of airport environments.
By combining sensor technologies, the solution eliminates blind spots around the terminal without requiring excessive sensors. It enables airports to move beyond managing single-process areas only, to airport-wide flow management, without relying on single-technology solutions.
